We want every student to have a great learning experience, and for teachers to have more time to focus on what’s important – student success.
With iQualify for Schools you can use technology to make this happen. Our easy to use learning management system (LMS) makes teaching and learning easier, more personalised and social, while our online resources will take the hard work out of planning.
Who are we?
iQualify for Schools is part of the Open Polytechnic, New Zealand’s specialist distance learning provider. With around 30,000 students each year, Open Polytechnic is a leader in online learning and design.
In 2015, Open Polytechnic launched the iQualify LMS, which iQualify for Schools combines with New Zealand content from ESA Publications.
Our goal is to empower teachers to use technology effectively in their classrooms.
The iQualify for Schools team includes education designers and teachers, and is led by Alex MacCreadie, an ex-principal and teacher of all levels and most subjects, who has worked in a range of school settings from large urban schools to small rural settings.
Alex is passionate about harnessing technology for the benefit of students, and the benefits of blended learning for students and teachers.
Alex is a past-president of the New Zealand Area Schools Association, and recipient of the Lifetime Award for Services to Area Schools. He has been a member of the Panel of Experts for the Prime Ministers Education Excellence awards and has sat on a number of advisory panels for the Ministry of Education.
iQualify for schools can help teachers harness technology to provide interesting and interactive online teaching and learning experiences. With blended learning teachers can increase student-teacher interaction and engagement, and ultimately improve student achievement.– Alex MacCreadie, Executive Director, iQualify for Schools
